DODY CUTLER
Doris (Dody) Lakin Cutler died peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000 in
her home in Lakewood,WA. She was born in 1924 in Portland, OR and attended
Lincoln High School and the University of Oregon, where she was a member of
Pi Beta Phi Sorority. In 1944 she married James N. Cutler and they had a
wonderful 55 years together. 

She was a resident of Lakewood, WA for the last 52 years, and in later
years her time was divided between Lakewood and Palm Desert, CA. She
was a member of the Tacoma Junior League, the Tacoma Garden Club and
the Tacoma Country and Golf Club.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother to Frank Woodbury Cutler of
Newport Beach, CA; James Nicol Cutler, Jr. of Portland, OR; Merrill Cutler
McCarthy and five grandchildren, Lakin and Bryn McCarthy, Shelby, Colby and
Alexandra Cutler, all of Portland. She is also survived by her sister,
Patricia Lakin Cudahy of Portland. 

Memorials may be made to the ALS Memorial Fund, 801 Pacific Ave.,
Tacoma, WA 98402. 

A memorial funeral service will be held at St. Mary=B9s Episcopal
Church,10630 Gravelly Lake Dr., Lakewood at 2:00pm Sunday, September 24,
2000. Private services will be held at Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum,
Portland, OR. Arrange- ments by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252.
