Xenia Daily Gazette; Xenia OH; 2007-7-5 Doris Eileen (Lake) Terry, 87, passed away on June 29, 2007, in Houston, Texas. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Clinton Terry, her parents Harris and Ada Lake, brothers Dick, Herbie, and Buddy. She is survived by her cousins Marj Melvin & her husband Al and family; Bill Long & his wife Joanne; April Roark & her husband Bob and Barbara Stone & her husband Larry and families; nephew Steven Lake & his wife Jane and family, niece Velma Lamoureux & her husband Fred and their children Lynda Stephens & her husband Ed and their sons Todd, Brad, and Trey; Donn Lamoureux & his wife Pam and their sons Eric, Alex, and Craig, and daughter Joy McCaffety and her son Clint and daughter Cory. Eileen and Joe lived in Waynesville for over 40 years. They were active in the New Burlington Homemaker's Club. They had no children, but enjoyed the children of family and friends, and doted on their beloved niece Lynda. While Joe was ill, and after his death, Eileen was lovingly cared for by a host of family and friends, especially Clarence and Betty Risner, Ed and Joan Leach, Betty and Don Gerhard, Floyd and Eldora Tharpe, Ruth and Phil Barton, Ralph and Mildred Simmons, Jim and Geneva Davis, Margaret Gilliland, Flo Morner, and her cousins Al and Marj. Her special childhood friends are Peg Mumpower and Ada Gouge. Eileen moved to Houston in 2004 to be near Lynda and her family, but always missed her life with Joe and her Ohio home. The family will receive friends from noon-1:00 p.m. Friday July 6 at Conner & Koch Funeral Home, 92 W. Franklin St. (S.R. 725), Bellbrook. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Rev. William Shadowens will be officiating. Interment in Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
