She was seen and attended to, in her last month, by all her large and extended family and many friends. Mom leaves behind her children Bob (Yvonne), Dick (Lynne), Ross (Joni), Diana, Randie (Terry), David (Gerry) and Alan as well as a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doris was born in Washington, D.C and grew up in many American and European cities. She earned her Bachelors Degree at the University of Washington, not very common for women in the 1930s. Raising her children in Seattle and Vancouver occupied the next part of her life. The final third of her long life was spent with her companion Norman Mains and was highlighted by many travels and adventures. Finally slowing somewhat as she entered her 80's, Doris spent her last several years in Sechelt, British Columbia, Canada where family and friends constantly visited her.
