A long-term resident of Campbell, California, Jeane was born in Huron, South Dakota, and lived for many years in Salem, Oregon, where she met and married Rodney, the love of her life. Jeane is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Rodney Engdahl; their four children, Kenneth Engdahl, Rodney Engdahl, Kathleen (Engdahl) Werner and Dawn (Engdahl) Bauleke; loving daughters- in -law Margaret Godley-Engdahl and Niki Canotas-Engdahl; son-in-law Roger Werner; eight grandchildren (Amber Parker, Meryl Werner-Long, Sarah Werner, Jeremy Werner, Jonathan Bauleke, Cory Engdahl, Laurel Godley-True and Jeff Godley) and four great-grandchildren (Jade Parker, Christian Long, Aiden Long and Tabitha Godley); her beloved brothers David Leek, Stewart Leek and Marston Leek; beloved sister-in-law Julia (Engdahl) Rothrock and Betty Dittmer; and brother-in-law Everett Hay. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Leek and Lilian Pearl Leek; sister Grace (Leek) Hay; brother Elmer Leek and sisters-in-law Hazel (Engdahl) Finell, Betty Leek and Anne Leek, and son-in-law Roger Bauleke. Jeane and her husband, Rod, were a familiar sight, walking hand-in-hand on their daily four-to-five-mile walk throughout Campbell. Seeing how obviously they cared for each other brought a smile to many a face. Jeane has always been known for her community service, from being Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack 75 (later 375) in the late 1950's, a Campfire Mom during the 1960's, to later years when Jeane served as an officer for the Campbell Country Women's Club and the First Congregational Church of Campbell's Isabel Circle. Jeane was also well-known for her wonderful sense of humor and love of the English language. Never idle, Jeane knit and donated over 1,500 hats for premature babies to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit, and over 1,200 hats for homeless people to the Montgomery Street Inn Men's Shelter over the past fifteen years. Please join us in a Celebration of Jeane's life on Saturday, November 24th, 2:00 p.m., at the First Congregational Church, 400 West Campbell Avenue, Campbell, CA 95008. In lieu of flowers, please continue her tradition in giving to the Montgomery Street Inn Men's Shelter (358 N.
