Providence Journal; Providence RI; 2002-7-9 DOROTHEA A. LAKE - Attleboro 07/09/2002 DOROTHEA A. LAKE, of Park Street, a retired medical assistant, died Sunday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Allison Grover Lake. Born in Taunton, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Bessie (Smith) Brown. Mrs. Lake had been a medical assistant for 25 years, for Doctors Charles Farrell, in Pawtucket, and Dale Friend, in North Attleboro, before retiring in 1986. She was a 1938 graduate of Attleboro High School, and a graduate of Westbrook Junior College, in Portland, Maine. Mrs. Lake was an avid Red Sox fan. She leaves three sons, Stephen G. Lake of Sandwich, Mass., Peter R. Lake of Bridgton, Maine, and Timothy A. Lake of Attleboro; four daughters, Deborah A. Lake, Nancy J. McGee and Katherine E. Maher, all of Pawtucket, and Patricia L. Hyde of Providence; a sister, Barbara Shepardson of Attleboro; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Charles Brown. The funeral will be tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., with a funeral Mass at 9 in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St. Burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth.
