(Jacobson) Robins, 95, of Sun City Center, Fla., a former Williamsport resident, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at South Bay Hospital, Sun City Center. She was born in Williamsport on September 18, 1917, and was the daughter of the late Louis P. and Mary (Caplan) Jacobson. After graduating from Williamsport High School, Dorothy went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania and earned a bachelor degree. She married the late Jerome M. Robins and they celebrated many years of marriage together until his death in 1988. Dorothy was a member of Congregation Ohev Sholom and enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, golfing, and bowling. Dorothy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth M. and Judy Robins of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Geraldine F. Robins Brown of Big Bear, Calif.; two grandchildren, Ben and his wife, Emily Brown, and Ital Brown, and one great-grandchild, Lyla Brown, all from Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn. In addition to her parents and husband Jerome, Dorothy was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Phillip Jacobson. The graveside service for Dorothy will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Ohev Sholom Cemetery, Williamsport, with her spiritual leader, Rabbi Shaul Rappeport officiating.
