MOUNDRIDGE - Dorothy L. Berg, 77, died June 22, 2004, at Memorial
Home, Moundridge.  She was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Butler County, the
daughter of Walter C.  and Grace Duncan Lake. A lifetime Moundridge area
resident, she was a homemaker.  She belonged to United Methodist Church,
Moundridge. She was a Cub Scout den mother, belonged to Moundridge
Legion Auxiliary, Disabled Veteran Auxiliary and was a past Matron of
Chapter 58 Eastern Star, McPherson and Moundridge Historical Society.
On April 6, 1944, she married Bedie G. Berg at Haven. He died Sept. 3,
1993.  Survivors include: three sons, Kenneth E., Satellite Beach,
Fla., Michael R., Newton, and Jerrold W., Salina; a brother, Frank,
Floral City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy G.; a brother, Clarence;
and two sisters, Ethel Brown and Opal Nordstrom.  Funeral will be at 3
p.m. Friday at Moundridge Funeral Home Chapel, Moundridge, with Pastor
Jeanine Rishel presiding. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at
the funeral home. Burial will be in Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge.
Memorials may be sent to United Methodist Church or to Hospice Care of
Kansas, both in care of the funeral home.
