                                           DOROTHY LAKE
    Dorothy Lenore Lake, 96, died of natural causes Sept. 18,1998,
in Boulder.  She had lived in Boulder since 1985, moving from Delta.
    She was born on July 12, 1902, in Lincoln, Neb. to Frank and Josephine
(Hofmeister) Mothersead.  She attended the University on Nebraska.
    On Feb. 1, 1922, she married Albert V Lake in St. Louis, MO. He died
in 1983, After 61 years of marriage.
    The  Lakes lived in Greeley for 38 years, moving to Delta upon
retirement.  Mrs. Lake was a member of the Eastern Star, PEO Chapter GA
and the First Congregational Church in Delta. She was a homemaker and
enjoyed sewing, crafts and gardening.
    Surveyors include a son, Donald J Lake of Longmont; a daughter-in-law
Barbara Lake of Boulder; a sister, Frances Marie Gardner of Delta; three
grandchildren, Katrina, David and Leslie; and two great-grandchildren.
    At Mrs. Lake's request, cremation has taken place.  Memorial
contributions may be sent to Golden West  Manor, 1055 Adams Circle,
Boulder, CO 80303 where she enjoyed many independent years.
    Crist Mortuary of Boulder handled the arrangements.
