Dorothy Schneider
Dorothy F. Schneider, age 93, of Eau Claire, Wis.; passed away Monday,
September 29, 2003, at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire. She was
born September 19, 1910, in Barron, Wis., to Jess and Maude (Hanson)
Lake. She married Robert Weeks in 1928. She moved from Barron to
Minneapolis in 1950. Dorothy married Nicholas Schneider on November 30,
1956. They moved to Willow River, Minn., in the 70s, and to Eau Claire
in 1991. She was the last survivor of six siblings.  She was preceded in
death by sisters, Eleanore Erickson, Irene Finsterwalder and Hazel Stokes;
brothers, Leo and Niles Lake; both husbands; parents; and stepson,
Richard Schneider.  She is survived by her children, Fern (Charles)
Boetcher, Jean (Robert) Jones, Ralph (Fern) Weeks and Bruce (Jeanette)
Weeks; stepdaughter-in-law, Carol Schneider; 16 grandchildren; 38
great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren;
10 stepgreat-grandchildren; sister-in-law Evelyn Lake; many nieces,
nephews, and cousins.  A memorial service for Dorothy will be held at
11 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2003, at Prock Funeral Home Chapel with
Reverend Andrew Boe officiating. There will be a visitation one hour
prior to the service. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Syverson Home for the love and
kindnesses bestowed on Mother.  Prock Funeral Home is serving the family.
