Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. today at 7910 McClure Court in Tallahassee. A native of Elm Creek, Neb., he had lived in Tallahassee since 1987. He was a former member of the U.S. Railroad Retirement Board, was a Merchant Marine and Navy veteran during World War II, and was a member of First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Lake of Tallahassee; two sons, Michael Paul Lake of Tallahassee and Douglas A. Lake Jr. of Whigam [sic] Ga.; two daughters, Linda Sue Vopat of Austin, Texas, and Zoe Ann Svoboda of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Ruby Bosher of Seattle and Doris Gilmore of Port Charlotte; and 10 grandchildren.
