Edith Lake Brannock, 97, homemaker Edith Lake Brannock, a homemaker, died of a stroke Thursday at Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was 97. Born in Chesapeake City, Cecil County, the former Edith Lake was a graduate of Cambridge High School. In 1922, she married Linwood U. Brannock, and they moved to Baltimore in 1940. Mr. Brannock died in 1973. Mrs. Brannock returned to the Eastern Shore in 1995 and resided at Dixon House in Easton before moving to Caroline Nursing Home in Denton. She was a member of Lovely Lane United Methodist Church in Baltimore and the Woman's Eastern Shore Society of Maryland. Services are set for 11 a.m. today at Mitchell-Wiedefeld Home, 6500 York Road. Survivors include three daughters, Jane B. Willey of Towson, the Hon. Shirley B. Jones, a retired Circuit and U.S. District judge in Baltimore, of St. Michaels, and Lynn B. Gobble of Baltimore; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
