Dayton Daily News; Dayton OH; 2000-4-23 McKEE-FRIERMOOD, Edith M. "Edie" Age 62 passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Thursday, April 20, 2000. She is preceded in death by her parents; Vernon and Mary (TAYLOR) Lakes, Sr. Edie is survived by her sons and daughters in law; Jim & Vicky McKee, Mike & Treva McKee, Robert "Toby" & Patti McKee, Jon & Phyllis McKee; her daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia & Tom Hotopp, Mary & Ron "P'nut" Fuller, Connie & Mike Allison. She is also survived y her grandchildren: Jennifer (& husband Brian) Hild, Jim McKee, Lisa (& husband Matt) Hickey, Ashley Hotopp, Kelley, Katey, and Meghan McKee, Amy Scott, Adam Fuller, Dan and Nicole McKee, Eric and Morgan McKee, Michael and Matthew Allison; along with her great-grandchildren: Kiley Rawlings, Brittany Scott, Cody and McKenzie Hild, Kailey McKee, and Mae Elise Hickey. Edie is also survived by her brother, Vernon "Butch" Lakes, Jr., numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Edie's family would also like to recognize her very special friends: Betty & Bob George, Opal Bartels, and Karen Andrews. Edie retired from Globe Tool & Engineering after 22 years of service, and was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling, and many times shared her traveling time with family and friends. Funeral services to be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2000 at Tobias Funeral Home 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Dayton, OH. Family will recieve friends from 5-8:00 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2000 also at the funeral home. Interment Germantown Cemetery. Edie was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her determination, drive, and quick wit were a source of strength to all who knew her.
