McConnellsburg, Pa. - Edna D. Lake, 84, a resident of Long Term Care
Unit of Fulton County Medical Center and formerly of 3083 Mountain Road,
Mercersburg, Pa., died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at the care unit.  Born
March 21, 1916, in Cove Gap, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Seth
and Annie E. Funk Downin.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne
Q. Lake, in 1994.  They were married Sept. 17, 1938.  She was a former
employee of Knouse Foods of Chambersburg.  She was last employed in the
dietary department of the Fulton County Medical Center.  She was a member
of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in St. Thomas, Pa.  She is survived by three
sons, W. Eugene Lake of Harrisonville, Pa., Terry L. Lake of  Mercersburg
and the Rev. D. Gregory Lake of Warriors Mark, Pa.; a sister, Katheryn
Zeger of Mercersburg; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, and a grandson.
Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home,
47 N. Park Ave. in Mercersburg.  The Rev. James F. Young will officiate.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Mercersburg.  Visitation will be
Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made
to Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, 216 S. First St.,
McConnellsburg, PA 17233; or Buddies Food Bank, 2216 Pump Station Road,
Harrisonville, PA 17228.
