Press & Sun-Bulletin Binghamton, NY 30 Nov 2017 Edna Lake, 94, of Susquehanna, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Barnes Kasson SNF in Susquehanna, PA after an illness. Edna was predeceased by her parents John and Emily Spangenburg; husband Lestley Lake; and daughter Judy Lake Gay. She was survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law Richard & Mary Lake of Jackson, PA, Edward & Geri Lake of Bainbridge, NY, and Thomas and Joni Lake of Thompson, PA; 6 daughters and sons-in-law Gail & Larry Hanrahan of Lanesboro, PA, Celeste & Donald Kowalewski of New Milford, PA, Brenda Lake of Susquehanna, PA, Jacquelin & Randy Gilbert of Pittsburgh, PA, Lesley & Charles Marble Boylston, MA and Shirley & Thomas Puglesi of Monsey, NY; son-in-law Robert Gay of Binghamton, NY; special nephew and wife Robert and Jean Spangenburg, Shamokin, PA; 26 grandchildren; 36 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of the American Legion Post 86 Women's Auxiliary as well as the Susquehanna Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. She was known as one of the best cook's in town and worked for several years at the "Town Restaurant" and Starrucca House". In recent years Edna enjoyed spending time on her back porch with family and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11am at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA. Interment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 3 to 6pm.
