The Chronicle-Herald/Mail Star; Halifax NS Canada; 2008-12-24 LAKE, Edward Raymond - 67, of Truro, passed away suddenly, Sunday, December 21, 2008, at home. Born in Smithtown, N.B., he was a son of the late James and Emily (Pugsley) Lake. Ed loved to fish and was an agitator at playing crib. He loved to tinker and putter around with things. He enjoyed blue grass music and enjoyed attending blue grass festivals. He is survived by sons, Tony R. (Bonnie), Stephen (Anna), both of Hampton, N.B.; Terry J. (Leanne), Cheverie; Edward "Ted" (Cherie), Damascus, N.B.; brother Harold of Cambridge, Hants Co., sister, Helen Wilcox (Grant), Cambridge, Hants Co.; several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Arthur, Ronnie; sister, Betty. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 .m. Friday and funeral service Saturday, December 27, at 11 a.m. in Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, Rev. Burton Hooper will officiate with burial to follow in Highhead Cemetery, Cambridge at 2 p.m. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
