Ellen E. (Lake) Bowman, 65, of Millville passed away Tuesday afternoon,
Oct. 24, 2006 at South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center,
Vineland after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Millville,
she was a lifelong Millville resident. Mrs. Bowman was a homemaker.
She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed taking care of her family.
She loved to collect ceramic cows. She is survived by her husband,
Donald E. Bowman; one son, Ed Girsham of Millville; two daughters,
Laura Christy and husband Rob of Millville, and Susan Baughman and
husband Arnold of New Ellington, S.C.; four brothers, Danny Arbuckel of
Millville, Buck Lake of Bridgeton, Ed Callahan of North Carolina and Jack
Callahan of Laurel Lake; nine grandchildren, Megan Girsham, Ryan Brown,
Kaitlyn Madden, Heather Tomlinson, Amanda Blizzard, Robert Christy, Jr.,
Brian, Jeremy and Catrina Baughman; and two great-grandchildren. She
was predeceased by one son, Robert Girsham; and one brother, John Lake.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Christy
Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a viewing from
noon to 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be private and
at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made
