LAKE, Embert Raymond; 88; formerly of New Ross, Lunenburg Co, passed
away Thursday, December 13; 2007; in the Veteran's Unit of Soldier's
Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born on March 31; 1919; in Mount Denson,
Hants Co, he was a son of the late George and Ethel (Spearing) Lake.
Embert was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He served
proudly overseas and was a veteran of the Second World War. Surviving
are sons, Paul (Gwen), Yarmouth; Joe, Leftbridge, Alta; David, Spirit
River, Alta; daughters, Dawn (Terry) Mitchell, Linda and Mary, all of
London, Ont; Roseine, Alberta; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Evaline
Harris-Lake; second wife, Ruth Jollymore-Lake; son, Danny in infancy;
brothers, John and James; sisters, Christine and Gertrude.  There will
be no visitation in the funeral home. A graveside service will take place
and be announced at a later date in New Ross Baptist Cemetery, New Ross.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Veteran's Unit of Soldier's
Memorial Hospital, Middleton or to any charity Funeral arrangements
