The Christian Baptist; Atwood TN; 1986-3-20 Emma Ledlow Sister Emma Ledlow departed this life on January 30, 1986, at a hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, just a few days before her 84th birthday. She was born on February 7, 1902, in Cullman County, Alabama. Her parents were George and Mattie Lake. On June 5, 1928, she married Edward Chalmus Ledlow. To this union were born two sons. Sister Ledlow joined Liberty Primitive Baptist Church, Dora, Alabama, on May 10, 1982. We at Liberty shall long remember her sweet and gentle nature and her lovely smile, but, most of all, we shall remember her faithfulness to her church and her devout faith in her heavenly Father. The funeral service for Sister Ledlow was conducted by her beloved pastor, Elder Armond Ritch on February 1 at Jefferson Memorial East Chapel, Trussville, Alabama. Her body was taken to Henceville Family Cemetery for burial. She is survived by one son, B.H. Ledlow, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
