HOWERTON, EPPIE LAKINS - age 97 of Knoxville, passed away January 27,
2007. Born January 23, 1910 to John and Susan Lakins. Preceded in death
by: parents; husband, Silas and young son, 8 brothers and 1 sister. She is
survived by: son, Art Howerton and wife Catherine of Knoxville; brother,
Woodrow Lakins amd wife Ann of Cleveland, TN; 2 grandsons, Steven Howerton
and wife Debbie, James Howerton and wife Michelle; 4 great-grandchildren,
Ben, Matt, Josh and Jessica Howerton, all of Knoxville; several nieces,
nephews and special friend, Ms. Dean Jenkins. She was a member of the
House Mountain Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6pm
til 8pm on Monday, January 29, 2007 at McCarty Mortuary with the service
to follow at 8pm, Rev. Bill Winters officiating. Family and friends
will meet at 10:45am on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Avondale Cemetery
in Rutledge Graveside for an 11am graveside service. McCarty Mortuary,
4004 Holston Dr., Knoxville, 525-3121 is in charge of arrangements.
