Kennebec Journal, Augusta, Maine, Tuesday, March 13, 2007, pg B4 AUGUSTA --- Ernest Norman Lake, Sr., age 81, of Townsend Street died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at MaineGeneral [sic] Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center at Grey Birch following a long illness. He was born in Providence, R.I. on Nov. 12, 1925, a son of the late Christopher and Mazelle Frost (Morrill) Lake. Mr. Lake had been employed as a baker at Arlene's Pastry Shop and at Dunkin' Donuts for several years and at other shops for more than 30 years. Mr. Lake was predeceased by his first wife, Alfreda "Betty" (Chambers) Lake; a son, Terrance Lake; and four brothers, Waldo, Charles, Chester and Roy Lake. He is survived by his wife, Lillian (Todd) Lake of Augusta; a son, Ernest N. Lake Jr. of Chelsea; two sisters, Lillian White of East Providence, R.I., and Bernice Gammon of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. At his request, there will be no public visiting hours or funeral services. Burial will be held in the spring in Kling Cemetery, West River Road, Augusta.
