  Baltimore - Estalene P. Strait, 85, of 420 Virginia Ave., and formerly
of McConnellsburg, Pa., died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Riverview Care
Center in Essex, Md.
  Born Oct. 1, 1921, in McConnellsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of
the late Elbert F. and Grace A. (Steach) Lake.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther J. Strait, whom she
married June 27, 1942.  He died in 1990.
  She was an inspector for Bata Shoe Company in Baltimore.
  She was a member of Evangel Temple Church of God in Baltimore.
  She is survived by one son, Arnold L. Strait of Washington; one sister,
Rosalie M. Joy of Clear Spring; three brothers, Kleaford L. Lake of
Glen Rock, Pa., Leo M. Lake and William C. Lake, both of Baltimore;
two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by four brothers, Don Lake, John Lake,
Gilbert Lake and James Lake.
  Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home
in McConnellsburg, Pa.  Burial will be at Siloam United Methodist Cemetery
in Harrisonville, Pa.
  Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Howard L. Sipes
Funeral Home.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service
Wednesday at the funeral home.
