Esther G. Gilson, of Newfane, NY, entered into rest Friday, November 21,
2008 in Niagara Hospice House. She was born in Lockport, NY, November 19,
1931, the daughter of the late Loyal and Ruby Lee Robins. She married
Francis H. Gilson, June 14, 1952 in Newfane, NY. Esther was a graduate of
State University of New York at Brockport, Class of 1953 Cum Latta. She
was certified to teach in New York and Texas, where she taught from
1955-1957 in El Paso, TX. She then taught at Newfane Central School for
41 years, retiring in 1999 as a 4th grade teacher. Esther was a member
of Newfane United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for many
years. She was also a member of the church's United Methodist Women and
a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Wife of Francis H. Gilson. Mother
of Devin Gilson of San Diego, CA and Darrell Gilson of Newfane, NY.No
prior visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of
