She was born Sept 27, 1907, in the Kanona community east of Oberlin (KS) in Decatur County, to Carl and Lydia McMULLEN. She had lived in Topeka since 1928. She married Howard S LAKE on Dec 10, 1928, in Lyndon (KS). He died Sept 28, 1990. A son, Don LAKE, died in 1997. Survivors include a son, Frank LAKE, Blue Rapids (KS); four daughters, Mildred TOBUREN, Carbondale (KS), Lois KOON, Mayetta (KS), Erma SOMERS, Lancaster CA, and Joyce Parks, Neodesha (KS); 25 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30am Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs Lake will lie in state from noon to 9pm Wednesday at the funeral home where visitation will be from 7 to 8pm Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Papan's Landing and sent in care of the funeral home.
