DOTSON, Etta Mae (Lakes) age 85, of Middletown, OH; went home to be with
her Lord on Tuesday April 7, 2009 at Heritage Spring Assisted Living.
Etta was born in McKee, KY on June 12, 1923 to John L. and Ella (Morris)
Lakes. She was a lifetime member of the Southern Baptist Church and
retired from Middletown Regional Hospital as a nursing assistant. Etta
was a loving mother, grandmother, and a devoted follower of Christ. She
was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Denny V. Lakes and Rev.
Willie A. Lakes, 2 sisters Loretta Ross and Dora Lee Elmore. Etta is
survived by 2 sons John Dotson and wife Pat of Anderson, SC and Ron
Dotson and wife Stacey of Middletown; a daughter Judy Tipton and husband
Wayne of Middletown; and a grand daughter she helped raise Katie Brooks
of Middletown; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 7 great great
grandchildren; 4 brothers Lee J. Lakes of Phoenix, AZ, Jearl Lakes
of Springboro, Hearld "Thee" Lakes of Columbia, SC, and Dale Lakes of
Oakwood, OH; 2 sisters Betty Lou Caldwell of Miamisburg and Carolyn Minton
of Dryden, VA. Funeral services are Saturday April 11, 2009 at 10am at
Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St Springboro, OH with Rev Ron Dotson
officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. Visitation will be
