Hebron resident Eugene Lake, 84, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1998, in Hebron.

Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home chapel in Hebron. Burial
will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hebron. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Saturday and
Sunday and 8 a.m. until services Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Lake was born Sept. 2, 1913, to Frank and Nell (Corliss) Lake in Hooker
County. He was a retired cattle rancher. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Irene.

He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Fairbury and a former
member of Thayer County Livestock Feeders Association.

Survivors are four sons, Kenneth of Denver, Stanley W. of Bloomfield, Gene
of Del Mar, Calif., and Martin of Hebron; one daughter, Myrna Lemon of
Berrien Springs, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandchild.
