Evalee Lakes, 80, of Lexington, widow of James Planck, died Wednesday,
April 22, 2009, at the Harrodsburg Healthcare Center.

Born in New Zion, she was the daughter of the later Walter and Effie
Lakes.  She was a cook for Begley Drug Store and the Meadowthorpe Cafe.

Survivors include a daughter, Darlene (Emmett) Slone; a grandson, Kyle
Slone, Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Frances Masse and Lucille Lakes,
both of Lexington; two brothers, Robert (Barbara) Lakes, Versailles,
and James (Alma) Lakes, Lexington.

Services were conducted Friday, April 24, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home,
Main Street. Burial was in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
