Frederick Post, Frederick, MD, Tuesday, September 12, 2000. Mrs. Evelyn Lake Mrs. Evelyn Bernice Goodman Lake, 83, 100 W. Main St., Middletown, died Sunday, Sept. 10, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Fred W. Goodman, who died in December 1966 and Kenneth Lake, who died in January 1996. Born Oct. 3, 1916, in West Milton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Clarence W. and Letita Vaughn Teague. She was an Air Force civilian employee in the accounting and finance division in Dayton, Ohio, and in Michigan before she retired. She was a member of the Middletown Valley Seventh-Day Adventist Church and Middletown Senior Citizens, and she attended Food and Friends. She is survived by one daughter, Constance J. Trea of Atlanta, GA; two sons, James A. Goodman of Middletown, and Phillip W. Goodman of Dayton; six grandchildren, Sherri Elsey and husband Douglas, Wendy Goodman and husband Kevin of California, Timothy Trea and wife Connie of Georgia, James A. Goodman II of Frederick, and Christopher I Goodman of Middletown; and two great-grandsons, Connor Trea and Marcus Elsey. There will be no local visitation. Funeral services will be held at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio. Interment will be in Omega Cemetery, Omega, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at Middletown Valley Seventh-Day Adventist Church at a later date. Goodman and her second husband, Kenneth Lake. Surviving are one daughter and two sons. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in Omega Cemetery.
