WAPPINGERS FALLS - Evelyn E. Lake, 78, of Wappingers Falls, died Saturday,
Aug. 7, 1999 at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Lake
retired from IBM, Poughkeepsie. Born in Poughkeepsie on June 6, 1921,
she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lyons. She was a graduate
of Poughkeepsie High School. She married Joseph A. Lake, who survives
at home. Survivors include two sons, Joseph Lake Jr., California, and
Kenneth "Butch" Dykeman, Wappingers Falls. Calling hours are 10-11 a.m.,
Thursday, Aug. 12, at Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow St., Beacon. Funeral
services are 11 a.m., from the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeremy Miller
of Zion Episcopal Church, Wappingers Falls, officiating. Burial will be
in Union Cemetery (East Park Cemetery), Hyde Park.
