Lake, 88, of Eustis, Fla, formerly a 42-year resident of Ferndale, died Thursday, January 4, 2000, in Eustis. She was born Aug. 22,1912, in Detroit. Mrs. Lake was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church in Ferndale. At the age of 78, she became a 1990 graduate of Ferndale High School. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in March 1953. Surviving are daughters, Joan Marcinko of Eustis, Fla., Nancy (William) Manter of Marine City; son, George (Cynthia) Lake of Troy; sister, Catherine Stralser of Enumclaw, Wash.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
