EASTON, Mo. - Evelyn May Hatheway Lake, 70, Easton, died Friday, Oct. 24,
2008, at her residence.  She was born Feb. 27, 1938, in Stanberry, Mo.
She married Jack Lake on May 21, 1969. He survives of the home.  Mrs. Lake
was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.  She was preceded in
death by her parents, Emmit Franklin and Nora Marie (McNeese) Hatheway;
daughter, Teresa Jennings Markum; two sisters, Dolly and Dorothy;
two brothers, Everett and Elmo.  Additional Survivors: daughter,
Debra Brozovich and husband, Michael, Clifton Hill, Mo.; son-in-law,
Ray Markum; two sisters, June and Lily; three brothers, Elvis, Elmer and
Jr. Kay; four granddaughters, Janet, Jennifer, Tina and Nora; grandson,
Chris; and nine great-grandchildren.  Service: 3 p.m. Monday, Meierhoffer
Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Joseph. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery,
St. Joseph. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday,
Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 4
