Casper Star Tribune; Casper WY; 2008-4-2 Flora Luella Lake Yates LYMAN - Funeral services for Flora Lake Yates, 67, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Bridger Valley Baptist Church in Lyman. Viewing will be prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Fort Bridger Cemetery. She died of a stroke March 29, 2008, at Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City. She was born in Park City, Utah to Patrick H., and Eliza Ann (Bowman) Lake on June 1, 1940. She was a graduate of Park City High School. She was very active in the Fort Bridger Historical Society and the Fort Bridger Rendezvous Association. She worked as manager at the Maverick in Lyman and Mountain View for several years. She loved to quilt and do all kinds of needlework. She was thrilled to have made the auction quilt for the 2007 Rendezvous Association. She was instrumental in compiling a history of the Rendezvous Association into a book, "Thirty Years of Rendezvous at Fort Bridger." She loved to camp in the summer and spend time with her family in the mountains. Her feisty personality and her strong determination will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years; a son, Patrick Yates of Fort Bridger; a daughter, Jerrie Lynn Davis and her husband of Urie; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Larsen of Lyman; a brother, Frank Lake and his wife of Green River; a sister-in-law and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and a sister, Colleen Gates.
