Born in Centreville, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Westhaver) Langille. She was a homemaker and had been employed with Avon Foods, Wolfville, for several years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and she enjoyed vegetable gardening, baking and bread making. She is survived by daughters, Helen (Marven) MacDonald, London, Ont.; Sharon (Ross) Tufford, Eastern Passage; Sheila (Ivan Brown) Lake, Kingston, Ont.; Judy (Larry) Morine, Grand Pré, Kings Co.; grandchildren, Ronald MacDonald, Lloyd MacDonald, Cheryl Robarts, Michelle Petrie, Craig Brown; great-grandchildren, Drew MacDonald, Annalise MacDonald, Kate Robarts, Erin Robarts, Abigail Petrie; half-sisters, Emma Morton, Grand Pré; Dorothy Kynock, Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Lake; infant son, Ronald; half-sisters, Elsie, Kay and May; brother, Lawrence. No visitation by family request. A funeral service followed by a reception will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 19, in W.C. Hiltz/White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Rev. Philip Locke officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Jawbone Corner Cemetery, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
