Lake, 80, of Williamsburg, NM, passed away after a long struggle with cancer, at the New Mexico State Veterans Home on Friday, January 7, 2005. Florence was born in Aurora, Illinois on May 24, 1924, the daughter of William and Ethel (nee Boyd) Glissman. She was a Real Estate Broker in Montgomery, IL and a homemaker and as a Gold Star Mother was a member of the American Legion in Plano, IL. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Max P. Lake of Williamsburg, New Mexico; a son, William D. (Lana) Lake of Plano, IL; a daughter, Mary Lake of Williamsburg, NM; grandchildren, Debra (Matt) Phillips, Revilee (Steven) Manning, Jennine (James) Kerry, William J. Lake, James Sickler, Ray Prophet, Tim (Erica) Prophet, Tom Kough, Dan Sanders, Don Levario; and eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary (Jerald) Mathis of Surprise, AZ and Doris Schroeder of Sandwich, IL. She was preceded in death by a son, SGT James Lee Lake; her parents; a sister, Marguerite Glissman; a brother, Theodore Glissman; grandchildren, Billi Lake, Sherri Lake and William D.
