The Hawk Eye; Burlington IA; 2008-3-22 Saturday, March 22, 2008 Floyd Lake Floyd Robert Lake, 70, of Fort Madison died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at his home. Born Dec. 7, 1937, in Fort Madison, he was the son of Frank and Doris Blacksmith Lake. On Sept. 3, 1960, he married Ruth Rudicil in Fort Madison. Mr. Lake was a press operator at Burrows Paper Co. for 41 years. He served in the Navy. He was a member of SS. Mary and Joseph Church and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Linda Brink-schroeder of Niota, Ill., Susan Barker of Arizona, Rebecca Lowary of Keokuk, and Sandra Allen of Des Moines; four sons, Joseph Lake of Fort Madison, Timothy Lake of Salem, Danial Lake of Fort Madison and Michael Lake of Donnellson; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Jerome Lake of Fort Madison, Charles Lake of West Point, and Frank Lake of New London; two sisters, Loretta Davis of Fort Madison and Dorothy Fraise of West Point; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Fort Madison where family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at SS. Mary and Joseph Church with the Rev. Mark Spring officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery in Fort Madison. A memorial has been established.
