Greenville News (online edition) Greenville, SC October 29, 2004 Forrest Lake Greenville On Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, God called home a father and friend. Forrest C. Lake (Pig), was born in Newberry to the late George Lake Sr. and the late Carrie Lake Massey. At an early age he joined Allen Temple A.M.E. Church. He was educated in the Greenville County Schools. He retired from Michelin Tire Co. In 1958, he was married to Mary Ann Lounds Lake. He leaves to cherish many fond memories his wife of forty-six years; four sons, Neddy (Karen), Calvin (Margaret), Gerald (Angela), and Henry (Evangeline) Lake; three daughters, Joyce (Robert) Stewart, Helen Walker and Carrie A. Lake, all of Greenville; a niece reared in the home, Amelia (Thomas) Mayes; four brothers, Raymond Lake Sr., of Flushing, N.Y., Henry Earl (Frances) Lake, of Piedmont, Robert Earl Dillard, of Pelzer, and Freddie Williams, of Greenville; a sister, Georgia Margaree (Andrew) Burdine, of Mauldin; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Allen Temple AME Church at 1 p.m. on Saturday, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
