JAY ... Frances G. Roy, 75, a resident of Knapp Street in Jay, died
Wednesday morning, Nov. 10, at her residence following a short illness,
after being diagnosed with cancer on Sept. 20. She was born in Farmington
on Dec. 19, 1923, the daughter of Leon E. and Lillian Paul Lake and was
educated in the Farmington schools. On March 25, 1940 she married Anthony
Roy at the St.  Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He died July 26, 1977. They
made their home on Knapp Street all of their married life. She is survived
by one son and his wife, Richard and Judy of Jay; one daughter and her
husband, Patricia and Tom Cornelio of Jay; two brothers, Harold Lake
of Farmington and Lloyd "Buddy" Lake of Dryden; a daughter-in-law,
Cleo Roy of Jay; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She
was predeceased by a son, Paul Jan. 18, 1996; and two sisters, Arlene
Luciano and Gwendolyn Ouellette.
