Frances L. Corriher

The funeral will be Saturday for Frances Lakey Corriher, 78, Salisbury,
who died Tuesday (April 2, 2002) at her home.

Born June 2, 1923, in Davie County, Mrs. Corriher, a daughter of the
late Gilmer and Mary Beamon Lakey, was educated in the Davie County
schools. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include son Virgil Corriher Jr., with whom she made her home;
brothers John, Gilbert and Roy Lakey, all of Salisbury, and Lester Lakey,
Linwood; sisters Willie Stewart and Ruth Story, both of Linwood, and
Pauline Nelms, Hartsville, Ga.; and one granddaughter.

Services: 11 a.m.Saturday, Lyerly Funeral Home chapel, conducted by the
Rev. Tom Clements. Entombment, Rowan Memorial Park's Lakeside Mausoleum.

Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
