From the Binghamton Press, Binghamton, New York dated March 24, 2005: quote Francis (Punkin) E. Lake, Jr. of Susquehanna, Pa. Francis (Punkin) E. Lake, Jr., 48, of Prospect St., Susquehanna, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at the Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna. Francis is the son of the late Francis and Katherine (Trussey) Lake. He leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Barbara (Nalbone) Lake; and three sons, David, Francis III and Vincent, all of Susquehanna; several brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins; one aunt, Loretta Hunt; and many friends, four of his closest friends were Ed Groover, Jack Keenan, Ken Wilmot, and Chuck Beck. Frank was a member of the SAL Post #86 in Susquehanna for many years. He loved Nascar Racing, fishing and watching his sons play sports. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, at 9:30 a.m. at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, and 10 a.m. at the St. John's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Rev. Robert Simon. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. unquote
