Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Fae Lake, 65, formerly of Joplin, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2000 in Kansas City, MO. She was born October 7, 1934 in DeSoto, MO, the daughter of Jethro and Lucille Sloan Coleman. At one time, she was the owner of Ragen's Bar and later worked for Cardinal Scale. Mrs. Lake was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Donald Gene Lake Jr, and a daughter, Allison M. Smith, both of Joplin; 3 sisters, Alice Micke of Kansas City, MO, Betty Bowen of DeSoto, MO and June Leon of Crystal City, MO; 4 grandchildren; and 1 gr-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter Stacey Lake. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary Chapel. Fr. Raymond O'Connor, CMF will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 6 and 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the mortuary. Contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
