GENE T. LAKE, 73
   Gene T. Lake, 73, Cross Timbers, Mo., died August 4, 2002, St. John's
Hospital in Springfield.
   He was born March 22, 1929, in Preston to Loyd and Edna Mae Lake.
He had served as mayor of Cross Timbers and was a city councilman a the
time of his death.  He became ill at a city council meeting last Thursday
and never recovered.
   Services will be Thursday, August 8, 10:30 a,m, at the Reser Funeral
Home in Warsaw.  Visitation is from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a Masonic
service at 7:30 p.m.  Burial will be in Cross Timbers Cemetery.
