Times West Virginian; Fairmont WV; 2004-4-13 Geneva Irene Morgan, 93, of Pricketts Creek Community passed away Monday morning (April 12, 2004) at Wishing Well Health Center in Fairmont. She was born Oct. 16, 1910, in Marion County, a daughter of the late Ila Henderson and Evolena Travis Lake. Mrs. Morgan was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Samaria Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, her grandchildren and talking with friends. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, Steve Morgan of Winfield; Kim Lawson, Ricky Lawson and Scott Lawson, all of Pricketts Creek; Bill Cutlip of Little Creek; Susie Steele, Chuck Morgan, Rick Morgan and Donna Morgan, all of Pricketts Creek; and Connie Westfall of Kilarm Road; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including Doris and J.R. Harsh of Winfield; and close and devoted friends, Dorothy Vincent and Ed Morgan, both of Pricketts Creek. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart W. Morgan in 1976; all of her five children, Charles Ray Morgan, Francis "Frankie" Marion Morgan, Norma Jean Cutlip, Shirley Lou Lawson and Loren Leo Morgan; a grandson, Roger Morgan; and all 11 brothers and sisters, Walter Lake, Emmet Lake, Wayne Lake, Claude Lake, Beryl Lake, Lester Lake, Bessie Carpenter, Jettie Grubb, Mamie Carpenter, Virgie Rogers and Wilda Lake. Friends and family may call from 2-9 p.m. today and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Stemple officiating. Mrs. Morgan will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
