George is preceded in death by his wife, Alice in 1995; his grandsons, Dennis Lake in 1966, Lorne Lake in 1997 and Shayne Lake in 2001; his great-grandson, Dennis Lake in 1988; his sister, Ethyl Peters in 1986; his sister-in-law, Lois Ann Lake in 1986. He is survived by his children: George (Kathy) Lake Jr. of Green Bay, James (Aileen) Lake of Juneau, Jean Lake of Rhinelander, Patrick (Kathy) Lake of Hartford and Mike (Dawn) Lake of Hustisford. He is survived by his brother, Jim (Juanita) Lake of Illinois, 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation Sunday, May 26 from 4-7 PM at the Funeral Home and Monday from 11 AM-11:45 AM. Masonic Service Sunday at 7 PM at the Funeral Home under the auspices of Hartford Masonic Lodge #120 F&AM. Funeral Service Monday, May 27 at 12 noon at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Mike Tess and The Rev. George Sexton will officiate. Military graveside honors will be conducted under the auspices of Hartford VFW Post #8834. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery. He served his country in the US Army during WW II. He served in the Aleutian Island Campaign, the Kwajalein Campaign and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign. He was a Past Master of Hartford Masonic Lodge #120 F&AM. He was a member of the Shriners, the Scottish Rite, a charter member of Hartford VFW Post #8834, Horicon American Legion Post #735 and Hustisford American Legion Post.
