The Daily Journal Vineland, NJ Monday, April 16, 2012 GEORGE "REDS" EDWIN ROBBINS, 76 Insurance Agent George "Reds" Edwin Robbins, 76, of Upper Deerfield Township passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, April 14, 2012, at home. The husband of Marie (Belcher) Robbins, he was born in Camden and was the son of the late George Edwin Robbins and the late Martha Rachel (Bennett) Robbins. Mr. Robbins worked in sales during his entire working career. He worked out of his home and door-to-door over the years, as an insurance agent. For more than 30 years, he represented Guarantee Mutual Life Insurance based in Woodbury and serving Cumberland County. Reds will be remembered for his great sense of humor and ornery nature. He loved practical jokes and he also was quite the daredevil. His love extended to riding horses and ATVs, as well as working in his garden. His family was the most important part of his life; spending time with his children and grandchildren brought him great joy. They spent every Sunday together for supper and had many trips and adventures together. He will sadly be missed by all those how knew him. In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by three children, Patty Gleydura and her husband George of Upper Deerfield Township, George E. Robbins and his wife Hester of Upper Deerfield Township, and Susan Woodward and her husband David of Vineland; five grandchildren, Christopher Gleydura, Ashley Gleydura, Robert Robbins, Amie Woodward and Kelly Woodward; three great-grandchildren, Lillie White, Christina Albrecht and Summer DeMore; one sister, Charlotte Simpson of Delaware, and two sisters-in-law, Winnie Robbins of Upper Deerfield Township, and Joan Robbins fo Bridgeton. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Krewson, Stanley Robbins, and Richard Robbins. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton. The interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home between 10 and 11 a.m. Wednesday.
