Elmira Star Gazette; Elmira NY; 2009-12-13 KISHBAUGH, George O. Age 84, of Horseheads, NY, passed away very unexpectedly on Thursday morning, December 10, 2009. George was born January 31, 1925 in Laceyville, PA, a son of the late George and Beatrice Rogers Kishbaugh. He served his country honorably with the US Army during WWII. "Big George," as he was called, retired from Westinghouse Corp. in Horseheads after 35 years. George was an avid bowler, fisherman, hunter, gardener and all around handy guy. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Garey Kishbaugh; sons, Robert "Bob" (Cheryl) Kishbaugh of Horseheads and Edward "Eddie" (Leora) Kishbaugh of Elmira; grandchildren, Greg Kishbaugh of Horsehead, Laurie (Aaron) Luckette of Horseheads, Lisa (Matt) Materne of Grand Prairie, TX and Kelly Kishbaugh of Elmira; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Ed) Johnson of Towanda, PA and Norma Smith of Buffalo, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His other siblings predecease him. The family would like to invite relatives and friends to a gravesite service at Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, NY on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at 12 p.m. Arrangement by Sullivan's Funeral Home.
