LAKE, George Roy, 90, Cheverie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June
20, 2010 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.  Born in North Salem,
Hants Co., he was a son of the late LeRoy and Lucy (Laffin) Lake. George
enlisted in the Army and served overseas during the SecondWorldWar. He
then worked for Dresser Minerals and various construction Companies during
his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his
daughter, Donna (Burt) Walsh; sons, Billy (Rhada) McCulloch; and Merle
(Emma) McCulloch; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister,
Winnie Harmen. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Crossley); son,
Morris; sisters, Leora and Madeline; and brothers, Percy and Robert. No
visitation by request. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 23
at 2 p.m. in J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 215, Summerville with
a private family burial in Bramber Cemetery. Donations in memory can
