Lake, 85, died at Memorial Hospital, Morristown on September 20, where he had been taken one week before, with a fractured hip. He was a lifelong resident of Long Valley and had been an employee of the Central Railroad of New Jersey for 40 years, before he retired 15 years ago. He was a member of the Railroad Brotherhood and Long Valley Lutheran Church. Mr. Lake is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sadie Lake, and one daughter, Miss Mabel Lake, at home. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from his late home, conducted by Rev. Walter Morten, pastor of Long Valley Lutheran Church, assister by Rev. Elmer Lindale, pastor of Assembly of God, Hackettstown. Burial was in the family plot at Naughright cemetery.
