The Maries County Gazette Vienna MO February 7, 1996 Georgia Humphrey Georgia Ellen Humphrey, 80, of Dixon was born in Henley, on February 21, 1915 the daughter of Joseph N. and Lena Nora Loveall Leek and passed away in the St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City on Monday, Jan. 29, 1996. She was united in marriage to Henry Edward Humphrey on March 4, 1933 in Vienna and unto this union four sons and two daughters were born. Survivors include her husband Ed of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Pearl and Edward and Shirley of Dixon and Jackie and Doris of Vienna; two daughters, Edna Hudspeth and Treva and her husband Steve Brown of Dixon; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and two special friends, Ethel Dake and Blanche Osbourn. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Charles Dwayne Humphrey, six sisters, Bessie Farrar, Virginia Jones, Josie Lawson, Ruby Duncan, Aliene Watson and Florence Jenkins; one brother; Joseph Leek; two grandchildren Carolyn and Gary and one son-in-law Leland Hudspeth. She was a member of the Burnett Church. Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Home in Dixon on Wednesday. Burial was in the Lawson Cemetery near Iberia. Serving as pallbearers were Johnny Beal, Mark, Jeff, Arlis and Rusty Humphrey and Jason Krull. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Humphrey, Steve Beal and Randall Humphrey.
