Published in the Star Tribune on 7/6/2005. Minneapolis MN Gertrude E. Lake Lake - Gertrude E. Lake went home to be with Jesus on 6-19-05. Gertrude was born on 8-6-10 in Watertown, SD to parents, Ray G. Warren & Mary (Copeland) Warren. She was capped as a Registered Nurse at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI in 1931 and practiced nursing in Ft. Dodge, IA and St. Paul, MN. She married Walter E. Lake in Ft. Madison, IA on 5-30-34. Gertrude was active in PEO, TTT and OES. She was a devoted member of Centennial United Methodist Church in Roseville and a resident of Presbyterian Homes of Arden Hills. Survivors include one daughter, Mary E. Pauley (Ronald) of Raytown, MO and one son, Robert A. (Jean) Lake of Edina, MN; three sisters, Margaret Parker, Frances Donovan and Phoebe Stallard, all of CA and sister-in-law, Mabel Lapekas, of MI; granddaughter, Brenda Dawson of Raytown, MO and grandson, Chris Pauley of Roanoke, VA, their spouses; and six great- grandchildren, who will all miss her very much. Memorial Service Friday, 7/8, 10:30 AM at Centennial United Methodist Chapel, 1542 W. County Rd. C2, Roseville, visitation 10:00 AM. Private interment Morningside Memorial Gardens.
