LAKE, Gertrude "Gertie" Wheelock, 92, formerly of Cheboygan, died Tuesday,
April 8, 2003, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
    She is survived by her children Shirley (John) Bowen of Alpena,
Carol (Merle) Preseau of Cheboygan, Joan (Tom) Astrom of Oscoda, Janet
(Fred) Pacific of Grand Rapids, David (Jan) Wheelock of Cheboygan, Brad
(Deborah) Wheelock of Alpena, and Brian (Connie) Wheelock of Fenwick;
22 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and
brother-in-law Robert Wheelock of Lewiston and sister-in-law Harriet
Lyons of Onaway.
    Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 12, 2003, at the
Nordman Funeral Home in Cheboygan, Rev. Harry A. Wagner officiating.

GERTRUDE "GERTIE" WHEELOCK LAKE
    Gertrude "Gertie" Wheelock Lake, 92, formerly of Cheboygan, passed
away early Tuesday at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
    She was born in Carp Lake, Mich., the daughter of Mose and Ozline
(Couture) Sarrault.  She married Aubrey Wheelock in 1930, the Wheelocks
moved from Cheboygan in 1963, had made their home in Alpena and he
preceded her in death in 1981.  She later married Bill Lake and he
preceded her in death.
    She is survived by her children Shirley (John) Bowen of Alpena,
Carol (Merle) Preseau of Cheboygan, Joan (Tom) Astrom of Oscoda, Janet
(Fred) Pacific of Grand Rapids, David (Jan) Wheelock of Cheboygan, Brad
