She was born in Pasco and was a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities. She was a retired coding clerk. Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, Kennewick, is in charge of arrangements. GLENDA SHERAL (LAKEY) BLAIR Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home Glenda Sheral Blair (Lakey), age 63, was called home by our Lord on August 25, 2014. She is survived by her husband Michael J. Blair of Kennewick, son James M. Blair and husband Brad Meryhew of Seattle, daughter Jeannette D. Bales of Pasco, grandson Tye R. Maynard of Kennewick, mother Isabelle Creghan of Kennewick, brother Ralph W. Lakey and wife Kristi Lakey of Kennewick, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Melvin K. Lakey of Pasco and her sister Jeanie Bayliff of Freemont, Nebraska. She was born in Pasco at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on April 19, 1951 to Melvin & Isabelle Lakey. She attended school in the Tri-Cities and graduated from Kennewick High in 1969. She married her high school sweetheart of two years Michael J. Blair in August of 1969. They then moved to Norfolk, Virginia where Mike was stationed during his time in the United States Navy. They returned to the Tri-Cities and resided in Kennewick to raise a family which was her pride and joy. She always took a great interest in her children's activities during their school years, and throughout their lives. Glenda didn't go to work until both her children had graduated from high school. She worked as a medical coder and biller for private physician's offices from 1992 till she retired in 2010. She took great pride in being a wife, a mother, and homemaker taking care of her family. She loved and enjoyed the outdoors and camping with family and friends, and football. She was very talented in the arts and crafts from crocheting, jewelry making, and cross stich embroidery. She was a devoted member of her church. Glenda & Mike had just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 10th of this year, and they were looking forward to many more years together, though the Lord had other plans. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Desert Lawn Memorial Park cemetery at 1401 South Union Street in Kennewick, WA. Immediately following the graveside services, a Celebration of Glenda's life will be held at The Living Room Community Church at 1409 South Garfield St. in Kennewick, WA.
